What exactly is From Staff to Partner Summit?
It’s a 3-day virtual conference featuring 9 speakers providing tools and knowledge to help professionals in professional service froms move from staff roles into partnership.
When is the conference happening?
August 4, 11, 18 from 12:00 pm Eastern through 4:00 pm Eastern. There are 3 sessions each day (12, 1:30, 3:00) with 30-minute breaks in between the sessions so you can check emails, return voicemails or grab a snack.
Where is the conference being held?
In your own office or conference room via computer and telephone.
What equipment do I need to attend?
A computer to view the slides and a phone – that’s it! If there are a group of you attending from the same location, sign up for the firm pricing, then book a conference room for the day. As long as you have access to a computer and a speaker phone in the room for dialing in to the sessions. you can set up your own mini-conference.
Once you have registered for the conference you will find more specific advice on getting ready for the conference in the VIP Lounge.
Why would I attend a “virtual conference”?
Virtual Conferences are highly economical from both time and money perspectives.
- They allow far greater participation for a relatively low entry fee than the estimated $2000+ it now costs to attend off-site events.
- Time away from the workplace is minimized and teams can attend in a conference room together for one conference fee – discussions and action plans can happen in real time.
- The format allows flexible scheduling – with about 4 hours per day of presentations, all necessary business can be handled before or after the conference sessions.
- Sessions are recorded so people who are unable to attend live or who get called away can still benefit later.
- You can ask questions, share ideas, access resources, and discuss applications via the online forums.
Plus, From Staff to Partner Summit is being held only 1 day a week for 3 weeks so you can maximize your billable hours.
What if I can’t be at all of the sessions?
All of our sessions will be recorded and made available for replay to conference participants in the VIP Lounge during and after the event for a limited time. You can also upgrade to our “downloadable” package or even get the entire series on CDs.
Will there be any opportunity to interact with the speakers and ask them questions?
During the sessions you will be able to ask the speakers questions during specific Q&A periods. We will address as many of those questions as we can given the time constraints of working within a conference format. We will post any unanswered questions in the online forums where the speakers will be able to address them directly.
We encourage ALL participants to network in the forums – not just with the speakers but also with your fellow virtual conference attendees.
What happens if I experience technical difficulties during the conference?
We will have an active help desk running during the conference where you’ll be able to request help with any technical difficulties you might be having. We won’t promise to fix everything as we cannot know your exact technical setup, but our help desk will be on hand to point you in the right direction.
If I purchase the pricing package for firms, do all of my employees have to be in the same location?
No, they do not have to be in the same physical location when attending the conference.
Everyone who registers for the conference will have their own VIP Lounge login, computer log-in and call-in access code so that they can attend the conference from wherever they have access to a computer or a phone.
How does the firm registration process work?
Because we are providing Conference Access Passes our system requires that the person who makes the registration payment becomes our designated Site Organizer. Once payment has been made, the Site Organizer will be requested to submit a list of names and email addresses for all those people attending the conference.
Our Virtual Event Manager will then make sure that all of those details are correctly logged in our system so that all communications about the conference can be sent out automatically. Individual attendees will receive a login for the VIP lounge and the call-in details to access this virtual conference.
Will there be handouts or other materials available?
Yes, the speakers will be providing supporting materials for their sessions. The materials will be posted in the VIP Lounge per the speakers request, so it may be that some materials will not be made available until after a speaker session.
Will I get CPEs for attending the conference?
This conference may qualify for professional development credit hours for maintaining certifications. We will provide documentation for you to submit to your appropriate certification board.
